DESCRIPTION:The LHCb experiment has shown very successful running periods 
 in Runs 1 and 2 of the LHC\, and has established itself as a leading flavo
 ur physics experiment. The collaboration is currently preparing an upgrade
  of the experiment for Runs 3 and 4\, which is planned to start data takin
 g in 2020. This upgrade will exploit higher luminosity running with an enh
 anced trigger system. An expression of interest for a second stage upgrade
  for Run 5\, data taking from 2030 onwards\, has been published. \n\nThis 
 seminar will give an overview of the planned detector upgrades\, discuss s
 elected highlights of current physics measurements and will discuss the fu
 ture physics program to be exploited in the planned upgrades.
