DESCRIPTION:Natural language is a primary means to communicate information
 \, while\nour daily life also relies on other types of media such as visio
 n and\nnumerical data.  I will talk about our recent efforts on developing
 \nmethods for accessing non-text data via natural language.\nSpecifically\
 , i) semantic parsing for querying structured databases\,\nii) text genera
 tion for videos and time-series data\, and iii) semantic\nrepresentations 
 for visual information\, are introduced.
