DESCRIPTION:The so-called dominant systems are dynamical systems whose asy
mptotic behaviour is low-dimensional. Here\, we consider the development o
f frequency-domain tools for the analysis and design of low-dimensional be
haviours (stability\, multistability\, limit cycle oscillations). The meth
odology is illustrated with a generalisation of the circle criterion for t
he analysis of bistable and oscillatory Lur'e feedback systems.
