DESCRIPTION:The anomalous magnetic moment of the muon is one of the most p
 recisely measured quantities in particle physics and can therefore serve a
 s a high-precision test of the Standard Model of particle physics. The lea
 ding-order hadronic contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the m
 uon is given by the hadronic vacuum polarization (HVP). A lattice calculat
 ion of the HVP aiming at sub-percent level precision requires the inclusio
 n of isospin breaking corrections. I will discuss how these corrections ca
 n be included in a lattice calculation and show results for isospin and QE
 D corrections to the HVP from an exploratory study.\n\n
