 and emotional disorders*\n\nHow people think about their own personal futu
 res is a key component of their well-being and mental health.  This talk w
 ill discuss the different kinds of ways that future-directed thinking brea
 ks down in anxiety and depression\, as well as in suicidal behaviour\, whe
 re disruptions to future-directed thinking are probably most stark.  Under
 standing disruptions also offers the promise of interventions\, and the ta
 lk will discuss strategies that might improve future-directed thinking.\n\
 nThe Seminar will be held at the Herchel Smith Building for Brain and Mind
