DESCRIPTION:I have dedicated most of my working life to the study of Gliob
lastoma\, an aggressive primary brain tumour that is responsible for more
loss of life for each sufferer than any other common adult cancer. Where c
onventional treatments have often let my patients down\, I have been looki
ng to mathematics to enhance my understanding of this elusive tumour and t
o try and build better treatment solutions. From retinal neural networks t
o diffusion tensor imaging and back to computational neural networks\, I d
escribe my research in this area.
