DESCRIPTION:John Pyle is Professor of Atmospheric Science at Cambridge. Hi
 s research focuses on the interaction between chemistry and climate. He ha
 s played a major role in building an EU stratospheric research programme a
 nd has contributed to all the WMO/UNEP assessments on stratospheric ozone 
 since the early 1980s. He was a convening lead author in the IPCC Special 
 report "Safeguarding the ozone layer and the global climate system"\, publ
 ished in 2006.
