DESCRIPTION:As one of the originators of the interdisciplinary field of We
 b Science\, Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt seeks to understand the Web at a 
 systems level. His research focuses on how the web evolves and how it chan
 ges society. In his talk\, he will discuss the exponents of change - rangi
 ng from Artificial Intelligence to Web Science.\n\nProfessor Sir Nigel Sha
 dbolt is Chairman and Co-founder of the Open Data Institute (ODI)\, which 
 specialised in the exploitation of Open Data supporting innovation\, train
 ing and research in both the UK and internationally. He is also the Princi
 pal of Jesus College\, Oxford. His research interests range from cognitive
  psychology to computational neuroscience\, Artificial Intelligence to the
  Semantic Web. In 2009\, he was appointed Information Advisor to the UK Go
 vernment together with Sir Tim Berners-Lee. He was knighted in 2013 for
