DESCRIPTION:CMIH short course on Image Reconstruction in Biomedical Imagin
g\n\nAbstract: The course will provide an introduction to state-of-the art
methods for image reconstruction in biomedical imaging and its applicatio
ns\, with an outlook to challenging problems in current research. The seri
es will start with an introductory part providing an overview of different
image modalities and the mathematical formulation of the corresponding im
age reconstruction problems\, before proceeding to a discussion of variati
onal regularization methods.\n\nIn the second half of the course we will d
iscuss modern high-dimensional problems related to dynamic and spectral im
aging. Particular focus will be put on motion correction techniques and th
eir use. Finally we will give a perspective on multimodality imaging. \n\n
This lecture gives an introduction and overview of different image modalit
ies\, mathematical formulation of the image reconstruction problems.
