DESCRIPTION:On 4 December 2017 -- in collaboration with the Cambridge Cent
 re for Research in the Arts\, Social Sciences\, and Humanities (CRASSH) --
  Cambridge Ukrainian Studies is hosting the international conference "*Ukr
 aine and the Challenges of International Law: Annexation\, Aggression\, Cy
 ber Warfare*":http://www.crassh.cam.ac.uk/events/27437. \n\nThe event conf
 ronts pressing issues facing the practice of international law and the con
 duct of the international legal community in the wake of the annexation of
  Crimea and the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian War. Gathering leading experts i
 n international law\, political science\, information policy\, and cyber s
 ecurity\, we ask: \n\n_Has international law missed its chance for constru
 ctive intervention in Ukraine? To what extent do our articulation and unde
 rstanding of the conflict in Ukraine conform to the vocabulary and princip
 les of international law? Do features of the international legal system ne
 ed to be revisited or even reloaded in light of events in Ukraine?_\n\nCam
 bridge Ukrainian Studies and CRASSH are pleased to announce that a new sou
 rce of funding has become available to underwrite the registration fees of
  all participants to the conference *Ukraine and the Challenges of Interna
 tional Law*. \n\n*Registration to the conference\, which includes lunch\,
