DESCRIPTION:The first speaker meeting of the new academic year will be on 
 Thursday\, October 12th at 20:45 in the Domus Room at Clare College. The s
 peaker will be *Dr. Patrick Cook*\, President of the Society between 2013-
 2014\, with a talk on the Austro-Hungarian Empire entitled *The Last Rites
  of an Empire\, or Four Funerals and a Coronation*.\n\nIt is customary for
  members to wear gowns to Speaker Meetings.
