DESCRIPTION:Bound electron-hole pairs - excitons - are light Bose particle
 s. They have a relatively \nhigh temperature of quantum degeneracy\, of th
 e order of a few kelvin. The exciton gases with \ntemperatures even well b
 elow 1 Kelvin can be realized in coupled quantum well structures. \nWe pre
 sent an overview of coherence\, condensation\, ordering\, and other phenom
 ena in \nthe cold exciton gases.
