 n this talk\, Dr. Robert Sansom will draw on his experience as active ange
 l investor and mentor to high-technology start-up businesses in the UK and
  US. He is chairman of Cambridge Angels\, a group of seasoned technology a
 nd bio-technology entrepreneurs who invest in and mentor technology start-
 ups in the Cambridge area. Prior to being an angel investor\, he was co-fo
 under and Chief Technology Officer of FORE Systems\, a leading developer o
 f high-speed data communications systems which was sold to Marconi in 1999
 .From this experience\, Dr. Sansom will use various examples to illuminate
  the question what makes the difference between successful and less succes
 sful start-ups.\n\n \nThe seminar will take place in seminar rooms A + B a
 t the Institute for Manufacturing (Mill Lane\, Cambridge\, CB2 1RX). To be
