 ety warmly invites you to our third Speaker Event of Michaelmas Term! \n\n
 Dr. h.c. Charlotte Knobloch has been President of the Israelitische Kultus
 gemeinde München und Oberbayern since 1985. She was Vice President from 1
 997 until 2006 and then President of the Central Council of Jews in German
 y (Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland) from 2006 until 2010. \n\nDue to h
 er outstanding commitment to the reconciliation between Jews and non-Jews 
 in Munich\, she was made an honorary citizen of Munich in 2005. \n\nIn add
 ition to numerous prizes and honours\, she was awarded the Large Federal C
 ross of Merit with star (Großer Verdienstkreuz mit Stern des Verdienstord
 ens der Bundesrepublik Deutschland) in 2010\, one of the highest orders of
  merit available in Germany. \n\nThe topic of her talk will be: 'Eine pers
 önliche Perspektive auf das jüdische Leben in Deutschland – vom Wieder
 aufbau 1945 bis heute – seine Herausforderungen und Gefahren'.\n\nThere
