DESCRIPTION:Joint works with J&eacute\;r&eacute\;mie Bigot and Pierre Weis
s on the one hand\, and Ben Adcock on the other hand. First\, we will the
oretically justify the applicability of compressed sensing (CS) in real-li
fe applications. To do so\, CS theorems compatible with physical acquisiti
on constraints will be introduced. These results do not only encompass str
ucture in the acquisition but also structured sparsity of the signal of in
terest. This theory considerably extends the standard framework of CS. Sec
ondly\, recent advances on optimal sampling in CS will be presented\, in t
he sense that the sampling strategy minimizes the bound on the required nu
mber of measurements for CS recovery.
