DESCRIPTION:Circular discs have an Eulerian description in terms of polar 
 coordinates\, but these are not well adapted to geometries of more general
  discs. For disc models with a sufficient number of conserved quantities a
  Lagrangian description can be more useful. This is useful for discs which
  have large scale departures from axisymmetry. The dynamics of a near Kepl
 erian eccentric disc are rich and take the form of a nonlinear wave equati
 on.
