DESCRIPTION:Albatrosses are the most threatened group of seabirds. Among t
hese is the Grey-headed albatross (Thalassarche chrysostoma) which is list
ed as endangered on the IUCN Red List. With the advent of tracking technol
ogies\, scientists can gain much needed insight into the year-round distri
bution of seabirds and consequently how vulnerable they are to various ant
hropogenic threats\, thus aiding their conservation. This talk will theref
ore consist of some exciting results from two chapters of my PhD showing w
here grey-headed albatrosses go during both the breeding and non-breeding
 seasons.
