DESCRIPTION:In the final Power and Vision event for Michaelmas 2017 we are
  screening video testimonies of effects drone strikes. The videos are comp
 iled by *Forensic Architecture*\, an independent research agency providing
  evidence for international prosecution teams\, political organisations\, 
 NGOs\, and international institutions like the UN. Their interdisciplinary
  team of investigators includes architects\, scholars\, artists\, filmmake
 rs\, coders\, investigative journalists\, archaeologists\, lawyers\, and s
 cientists. The screening of the testimonies is followed by a Skype Q&A wit
 h *Christina Varvia*\, who is an architect and the Research Coordinator at
  FA.\n\nOn Christina Varvia:\n"Christina Varvia is an architect\, research
 er and the Research Coordinator at Forensic Architecture. She graduated fr
 om the Architectural Association with a previous degree from Westminster U
 niversity. Her previous research includes studies on digital media and mem
 ory as well as the perception of the physical environment through scanning
  and imaging technologies\, research that she deploys through time-based m
 edia. After working in architectural practice\, Christina joined Forensic 
 Architecture in 2014\, where she developed methodologies and undertook vid
 eo analysis that led to the Rafah: Black Friday report\, unpacking one day
  of the war in Gaza\, 2014. She has since coordinated the Saydnaya project
 \, Reporting from the Front\, and many other projects and exhibitions."
