DESCRIPTION:C-H functionalization reactions are emerging as important tool
 s in organic chemistry. Nature’s toolkit for complex molecule assembly c
 ontains a variety of enzymes that are capable of catalysing diverse C-H fu
 nctionalization reactions. In this lecture I will discuss recent advances 
 in the discovery\, mechanistic illumination and exploitation of several un
 usual C-H functionalization biocatalysts involved in bioactive natural pro
 duct biosynthesis.
