DESCRIPTION:Robin Holloway will discuss his recent composition ‘Fourth C
 oncerto for Orchestra’\, inspired by the medieval epic poem ‘Piers Plo
 wman’\, which premiered in San Francisco in February last year with grea
 t success.\n\nRobin is a renowned English Composer\, whose work covers man
 y genres. He is also a prolific journalist and broadcaster\, writing a mon
 thly column in the ‘Spectator’. Robin started his musical career as a 
 chorister at St Paul’s Cathedral\, graduated in Music at King’s Colleg
 e Cambridge\, studying with Alexander Goehr. He completed his doctorate on
  Debussy and Wagner at New College Oxford and did a Studentship and Resear
 ch Fellowship at Caius College\, Cambridge. He completed an assistant and 
 then full Lectureship at Cambridge Music Faculty\, a Readership in Musical
  Composition and is now a Professor in Musical Composition.\n\nCome along
