DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, we present the natural extension of the Wassers
tein metric to the space of positive Radon measures. We present the dynami
c formulation and we show its associated static formulation. Then\, we rel
ate this new metric to the Camassa-Holm equation and show that this Camass
a-Holm equation is actually an incompressible Euler equation in higher dim
ensions. We also present some applications of this new metric as a similar
ity measure in inverse problems in imaging.
