DESCRIPTION:When it comes to the study (and quantification) of the speed o
f relaxation toward equilibrium of dynamics that are\, in a sense\, degene
 rated (hypoelliptic diffusions\, piecewise deterministic processes...)\, a
few classical methods do no apply. I will present some developpments of t
he hypocoercive method of modified entropy\, popularized by Villani. In pa
rticular we will see how\, by clarifying entropy dissipation computations\
, one may obtain sharp dependency of the rate of convergence with respect
to some parameters of the problem (temperature for annealing algorithms\,
number of particle for mean-field models\, etc.).
