DESCRIPTION:In this participatory masterclass we will explore the possibil
 ities and dilemmas of animating principles from critical youth studies\, c
 ritical race theory\, and decolonial studies in research with youth. We wi
 ll discuss the politics of knowledge production in relation to theories of
  change and research design.\n\nDr. Leila Angod will draw from her 2-year 
 youth participatory action research study at University of Toronto with se
 condary school students (www.ypar.ca)\, the process of co-founding and co-
 mentoring an open-access\, peer-reviewed youth journal for youth art and r
 esearch (www.incitejournal.org)\, and her doctoral dissertation\, Behind a
 nd Beyond the Ivy: How Schools Produce Elites Through the Bodies of Racial
  Others\, to offer entry points\, examples\, and case studies.\n\nParticip
