DESCRIPTION:Marian Bakermans-Kranenburg is Professor of Neurobiological an
 d Environmental Determinants of Parenting and Child Development at Leiden 
 University.\n\nHer research focus is attachment and emotion regulation in 
 parents and their children\, with special emphasis on neurobiological proc
 esses in parenting and development. Her academic interests include the int
 erplay between nature and nurture\, exploring and testing the ‘different
 ial susceptibility’ model\, hormonal correlates of parenting\, and inter
 ventions. The studies she is involved in are embedded in the research prog
 ramme PEARL (Program for Emotion and Attachment Research Leiden) of the Ce
 ntre for Child and Family Studies.\n\nChaired by Dr Robbie Duschinsky\, He
 ad of the Applied Social Science Group within the Primary Care Unit and Di
 rector of Studies in Sociology at Sidney Sussex College\, University of Ca
 mbridge.
