DESCRIPTION:I show how three seemingly different physics problems can be\n
 solved at once. The quantities computed are: the probability distribution\
 nP(M_z) of the magnetization in the ground state of the quantum Ising\ncha
 in\; the partition function of the anisotropic Kondo problem\; and the\nen
 tanglement entropy resulting from a point contact in a p+ip\nsuperconducto
 r or a fractional quantum Hall device in the nu=5/2\nMoore-Read state.
