DESCRIPTION:We will give an overview of the theory of Semple jet bundles\,
  and will\napply it to present a simple proof of the Kobayashi conjecture.
  The\nstatement is that a general hypersurface of high degree in complex\n
 projective space is Kobayashi hyperbolic (i.e. without entire curves).\nTh
 e proof is based on recent ideas of Damian Brotbek\, combined with a\nnew 
 construction of Wronskian sections dues to the lecturer. This\nmethod prov
 ides the best effective bounds known at this date\, and also\napply to the
  logarithmic case.
