 permits "fair dealing" by way of "quotation." But what is "quotation"? Rev
 iewing the broad array of activities that cultural commentators (eg art hi
 storians\, film critics and musicologists) refer to as "quotation\," this 
 paper argues that the new exception could cover a very wide range of expre
 ssive and transformative uses.
