DESCRIPTION:In recent years\, an explosion of interest in machine learning
  and artificial intelligence has led to significant breakthroughs in count
 less industries. In this talk\, we present some recent innovations that ha
 ve helped to solve long-standing problems in the music industry\, includin
 g personalised recommendation\, the discovery of new music\, and the class
 ification of music using its audio content alone.\n\nSpeaker Bio: Martin i
 s Senior Product Manager at Spotify UK. He joined Spotify via the acquisit
 ion of his music-technology startup\, Sonalytic. Before Sonalytic\, Martin
  was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Im
 perial. He studied Part III of the Mathematical Tripos at the University o
 f Cambridge\, and earned his PhD in Mathematics at the University of Oxfor
 d.
