DESCRIPTION:Many problems in scientific computing can be accelerated using
\nFPGA or GPU execution resources. The FPGA approach\, in particular\, al
so generally yields a significant saving in execution energy. Several clou
d service providers now provide FPGA platforms\, but problems remain with
virtualisation and usability.\n\nThis seminar will describe some current a
pproaches to harnessing FPGA as a total or partial replacement for the Von
Neumann architecure with emphasis on the Kiwi system that accelerates C#
and other dotnet languages.\n\nKeywords: High-level synthesis.
