DESCRIPTION:Learning and memory shape our daily life\, social interactions
and mental well-being. Mapping large-scale network activity on identified
neuronal circuits during memory formation and retrieval is essential to u
nderstand the neurophysiological and pathophysiological basis of behavior.
In my talk\, I will focus on the organization and function of the neurona
l circuitry of fear and discuss how functionally\, anatomically and geneti
cally defined types of amygdala neurons contribute to the acquisition and
expression of conditioned fear behavior. Moreover\, I will talk about imag
ing large scale populations of amygdala neurons across different behaviora
l states revealing general ensemble coding principles in amygdala circuits
 .
