DESCRIPTION:Conservation is a centralised operation working across all dep
 artments at the NHM. The care and preservation of the 80 million collectio
 n items  is at the heart of what we do. In addition to outlining the main 
 aspects of the Conservation Centre's work this illustrated talk will highl
 ight some of the recent high profile projects the team have been involved 
 in. Ranging from Hope the 4 tonne Blue whale skeleton now suspended in Hin
 tze Hall to Archaeopteryx travelling to Tokyo and Dippy the Diplodocus goi
 ng on a UK Tour.
