DESCRIPTION:We are extremely excited to introduce as our third speaker of 
 the term Professor Sir Paul Nurse\, Director of the Francis Crick Institut
 e and one of the UK’s most pre-eminent scientists. \n\nProfessor Nurse w
 as awarded the 2001 Nobel Prize for his research on the control of the cel
 l division cycle\, specifically the discovery of cyclins and cyclin-depend
 ent-kinases. In 2010\, Professor Nurse succeeded Lord Martin Rees to becom
 e President of the Royal Society\, and in 2011 he became the inaugural Dir
 ector and Chief Executive of the Francis Crick Institute\, where he contin
 ues to research on the cell cycle. Professor Nurse has been awarded over 6
 0 honorary degrees\, and maintains a role at the heart of the public under
 standing of science.\n\nThis talk is promises to be fascinating for all au
 diences\, and is absolutely not to be missed for anyone with an interest i
