DESCRIPTION: The architecture of a multiplexed charge-locking device [
1] could enable the control of a large number of gates with reduced number
of electrical contacts\, representing itself as a useful tool for up-scal
ing of a quantum dot system. Nevertheless\, two problems were found from p
revious operation experience of such devices\, which hinder their further
applications in forming larger arrays of quantum dots. The first problem i
s a drift in voltage from a floating (charged) gate\, which has been discu
ssed in the above reference. The second problem is the leakage of charge (
from the first addressed gate) when\, for example\, two next to nearest ga
tes are addressed successively\, partly due to the nature of the multiplex
er.\n In this presentation\, I will show various operations of the mul
tiplexed charge-locking device towards resolving the above two problems.\n
