The Centre for Corporate and Commercial Law (3CL) was established by the Faculty Board of Law in 1997 to promote further research into the areas of corporate and commercial law. These interests range from insurance law to corporate tax law, corporate governance and finance to international trade, and financial and business regulation to insolvency.
The 3CL has links with similar institutions in universities around the world, and through the Faculty’s Herbert Smith Visitor Programme, it is able from time to time to invite leading international corporate and securities lawyers to Cambridge. The 3CL is a member of Cambridge Finance.
