Abstract
Cities now host the majority of the world’s population and dominate global economic output. They are also recognised as being increasingly resource intensive and have expanding environmental footprints. This project seeks to better understand the nature of demand for services in cities, and how this demand might develop in future. This will be used to evaluate potential risks and determine interventions that could be made to make cities more sustainable and resilient.
