Abstract

The increasing severity and frequency of high-impact weather events means more of us are living under the threat of flooding, heat waves, or drought. To increase our resilience to these events, there is an urgent need to reduce uncertainties in regional climate predictions, and produce information which is more useful and actionable for business, supply chains, and policy makers. By the way of real-world examples, in these talks we will explore the various statistical methods and datasets used to help reduce climate-induced socio-economic stress.
