Abstract
Lax-Phillips scattering theory is a somewhat abstract theory which applies to wave scattering. It leads to a functional model in which, under a transformation, the wave scattering is mapped to analytic functions which possess unique properties. My goal is to apply this theory to wave scattering by ice shelves, but I will focus on illustrating it by using it to solve some simple examples.
