Abstract
In the talk I will explain a combinatorial/integrable systems model for quantum cohomology of Grassmannians and then connect it with the action of some DAHA at roots of unity. The double affine Hecke algebras (DAHA) were introduced by Cherednik in the context of (and to solve) the MacDonald constant term conjecture for generalized symmetric functions. I will briefly recall the definition of this algebra, give a topological motivation and then describe the connection to the cohomology rings. Via a theorem of Witten our result confirms a philosophy of Cherednik that Verlinde algebras should be modules for double affine Hecke algebras.
