Abstract
A long standing puzzle in flavour physics has been the discrepancy between inclusive and exclusive determinations of the CKM matrix element |Vub|. The Belle II, B factory experiment will begin running in 2019 with the ultimate aim of collecting fifty times the integrated luminosity of its predecessor experiment Belle. This seminar presents the prospects for Belle II measurements of |Vub| using leptonic and semileptonic decays. In addition, recent developments in the Belle II tag-side B meson reconstruction algorithm, which is critical for several of these measurements, are shown.
