Abstract
Professor Bortoletto is a Kurti Senior Research Fellow of the Institue of Physics, University of Oxford, before which she was the E. M. Purcell Distinguished Professor of Physics at Purdue University. She is an experimental particle physicist working on the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, Switzerland. She is using data from the LHC to study the properties of the Higgs Boson, which she helped discover in 2012, including its possible couplings to dark matter particles. She is also searching for higher mass Higgs-like particles and helping to upgrade of the ATLAS inner tracking system by 2022.
