Studies of UKCS fields after a decade of production – How does production data affect the estimation of subsurface uncertainty?
- 👤 Speaker: Professor Peter Smith, University of Trinidad & Tobago
- 📅 Date & Time: Monday 24 March 2008, 10:00 - 11:00
- 📍 Venue: Churchill College Møller Centre
Abstract
This seminar addresses how good we are at assessing ultimate recoveries, production profiles and value prior to development when compared to actual field behaviour. Uncertainty studies conducted in the mid-nineties before production began on several UKCS fields are re-examined on the basis of the actual outcomes, and the practical guidelines based upon the decade of new knowledge about the subsurface are proposed.
