Word sense disambiguation (WSD) is one of the fundamental processes of natural language processing in any language. However, WSD faces different conditions when target language has changed from English to other languages. In this talk I introduce some Japanese WSD research and discuss the difference of circumstances between English and Japanese WSD . I also introduce some other research of mine, such as Japanese information extraction, named entity extraction, text categorization, question answering, and a recommendation system. (If I have enough time.)
