Abstract
Maria is a graduate of Bristol and Cambridge Universities. She pursued a PhD in Earth Sciences as a Bill and Melinda Gates Scholar and has since moved on to policy work at, among others, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and the British Embassy in Poland. She is currently the Lead for Programme Development and Sustainability as part of the International Research Agendas Programme at the Foundation for Polish Science. During the talk she will discuss scientific research in Poland, career opportunities and funding options.
