Abstract
Excel is a widely used spreadsheet program with an embedded DSL for defining formulae. This DSL is one of the most widely used programming languages in the world. It contains many interesting design decisions from its error handling to its type system, all designed to make it easier for non-programmers to use. In this talk we will take an informal but hopefully informative look at this language, its syntax and semantics, and maybe even the implementation itself.
