Abstract
Some charismatic people use language in a way that others just have to follow them. This phenomenon inspired a large body of research on how opinion leaders shape world views, influence their networks with viral messages, and manipulate cultural memes that inform our view of the world. We present ground-breaking research on the psychological traits of hidden opinion leaders, and how machine learning can be used to identify the memes they spread.
Peter Romero is Psychometrician and People Analytics Lead at the Cambridge Psychometrics Centre. Prior to joining the Centre, he has gathered experiences in strategy consulting and corporate R&D, where he oversaw several global People Analytics projects in cooperation with top companies.
