Abstract
Image sensors and imaging techniques are getting more and more versatile, powerful and ubiquitous. It can be said that their progress has far outpaced our ability in fully utilising their potential. In this talk, the recent progress on image based combustion and flow diagnostic techniques made in Manchester will be presented. It will cover, 3D stereo imaging, high speed imaging and flame colour analysis. The technology has progressed to a stage that all the just mentioned three aspects may be combined into one and potentially for real machine test at high pressure and temperature.
Series This talk is part of the Engineering Department Energy, Fluids and Thermo seminars series.
