Abstract
We are very pleased to announce that, a century on from the peace that concluded the First World War, the Intelligence Seminar will be holding a day-long symposium on Friday, 3 May, at Trinity College’s Winstanley Lecture Theatre, exploring the problems of intelligence and peace.
Co-organized with the King’s Intelligence and Security Group at KCL and with an exciting range of speakers covering intelligence topics across the twentieth century and into the twenty-first, the full details for this event are attached and below. We hope you can make it!

Cambridge-KCL Intelligence and Peace Symposium Friday, 3 May 2019
A century on from one of the most important peace treaties in modern times, The Treaty of Versailles, this symposium will explore the complex relationship between intelligence agencies, peace-making and conflict resolution. With a range of papers from the First World War to the present, this one-day event promises to be an exciting investigation of the various ways in which intelligence can help facilitate or frustrate peace and negotiations, as well the impact of conflict resolution on intelligence agencies.
Location: Trinity College, Cambridge, Winstanley Lecture Theatre (Please use the college entrance just opposite from the Great Gate; signs will point to the lecture theatre.)
