Abstract
The Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) has finished its first year of routine operations. ZTF industrial-style alerts are now routinely being digested and analyzed at “brokers” in Europe (Berlin, Edinburgh) and Americas (Santa Barbara, Tucson and Santiago). The project had its first major data release of the public surveys (images, light curves of data collected in 2018). Subsequent releases will take place on a 6-month cadence. In many ways, for the field of time domain astronomy, ZTF acts as a proto-type for LSST . As such future users of LSST (for time domain astronomy) may benefit from ZTF .
