Abstract
An evening of music, readings and meditation with Mary Friedland and Chandra Hindustani.
Enjoy bansuri (Indian flute) performance played in the traditional North-Indian classical style.
Chandra grew up in Auroville (an international spiritual community in South-India) and then studied for 3 years with Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, before coming to study at King’s College, where she has been for the last 4 four years.
Mary Friedland from Chicago, US will conduct meditation and read selections from Raja Yoga philosophy.
Mary Friedland has been practising Raja Yoga Meditation for over 30 years. She currently coordinates activities of the Brahma Kumaris in Chicago and the Midwest regions of the USA , and teaches courses in meditation and practical spirituality. She enjoys applying spiritual principles to unravel life’s knotty problems, and sharing what she learns with others.
