Abstract
Processes involving heavy flavours at the LHC have seen a multitude of prescriptions on how to be consistently treated from the theoretical perspective in recent years. In this seminar I will firstly review how the ambiguity leading to the various prescriptions comes about, using as example the production of a vector boson + heavy flavours. I will then give a biased review (and comparison where possible) on the proposed methods.
